Barclays Jersey Boat Show 13 (Saturday 4th – Monday 6th May)
A major event on the British boating calendar, the Barclays Jersey Boat Show gets the boating season off to a great start. The three day show takes place right in the maritime heart of St Helier, featuring power and sail side by side. It also offers the best of Jersey’s heritage, food, drink and entertainment.

Liberation International Music Festival (Wednesday 8th May – Sunday 12th May)
Sixteen Internationally acclaimed stars and over 250 local artists perform beautiful and atmospheric music in stunning settings celebrating the Liberation of Jersey.

Liberation Day (Thursday 9th May)
Marching bands and vintage military vehicles parade through St Helier to Liberation Square, where they join the very moving and poignant reflection of the Occupation during WWII and the Liberation by British Troops on May 9th 1945 in. Then the nostalgic 1940’s Liberation Party begins! 1940’s entertainment, dancing, excerpts of vintage films, al fresco dining , crafts and locally made old favourite treats from a by-gone era. Events during the run up include heritage trails and access to WWII bunkers.

Jersey Food Festival (Saturday 18th May – Sunday 26th May)
A week long celebration of the very best from Jersey’s food producers, chefs, artisans and restaurateurs. Fresh Cooked Gambas
Folklore (Saturday 25th – Sunday 26th May)
Following on from its successful debut in St Helier in 2012, Folklore is back for 2013.It’s an independent music festival with an independent spirit, encompassing not just live music but also theatre, poetry and film. Expect a wide range of talents; last years line up included Van Morrison, Ray Davies, Wanda Jackson and Badly Drawn Boy.

ITEX Round Island Walk (Saturday 22nd June)

Jersey Live Festival (Saturday 31st August – Sunday 1st September)
Jersey Live, the coolest boutique music festival and biggest indie rock festival in Europe has a line up of top bands. Artist’s that have appeared since it’s launch include The Prodigy, Kasabian, Snow Patrol, The Kooks, Dizzee Rascal, Primal Scream, Professor Green, Razorlight, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Rizzle Kicks. The festival celebrates its 10th birthday in 2013 so good to be part of, known for its beautifully natured crowd, it has been branded as one of the best looking and most responsive crowds on the festival circuit.

Hidden treasures weave the rich tapestry of Jersey’s fascinating hidden heritage, from ancient dolmens to imposing WWII fortifications. Jersey Beach Polo (Friday 20th Sept)
Beach Polo breaks onto Jersey’s south-west shores for a second year. The stunningly beautiful St Brelades Bay beach, with its warm waters and flat, golden sand, is transformed into a polo arena. Jodhpurs and saddles replace wetsuits and surf boards as professional players from around the world, on their sleek pristine polo ponies, go head to head and horse to horse over four chukkas.

An exhibition of Nerines or “Guernsey Lilies” as they are popularly known. Hundreds of varieties in a wide range of colours will be on show. The Jersey Food Festival celebrates local foods such as the Jersey Royal potato, milk, butter, cream, cheese and dairy products as well the island's fresh caught seafood.  The festival includes farm tours and low water walks culminating in an "al fresco" food event in St. Heler

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee is going to be celebrated in style on the island with a food fair and concert!  The island's Jubilee Beacon will be lit, after the Jersey Militia fire a 21 Gun Salute and this will be followed by a firework display.

The fireworks will be set off from Elizabeth Castle. Time: 22:15-22:30.  The fireworks can be viewed from the Food Fair.


16/06/2012 Bonne Nuit Harbour Festival
This picturesque bay locations hosts a festival which includes beach games for children, a Bonnie-Baby and Strongest Man competitions, a coconut shy, food, entertainment and fun.  Parking is at Les Platons with a shuttle bus down to the harbour.  Prices are reasonable £3.00 for adults and the under twelves go free.  Festival starts at 11.00 and finishes at 22.00.

Black Butter is a unique Jersey delicacy dating back to the time of the cider industry.  The making of the Black Butters is a great tradition on the island and as the mixture has to be stirred for hours whilst cooking used to include an overnight party where stories were told, songs were sung and the tradition enjoyed  The National Trust will be making this and invite those interesting to help from the app
