Golf de Tremereuc provides golf 10 minutes from Aeroport de Pleurtuit. Two days a week there are Golf classes for children from age 8. They also have a superb restaurant.(See also Places to Eat) The restaurant serves delightful food with certain dishes with a Southern French influence. Apart from the food and golf, the bar is attractive to elbows.

Angling - On the beach you can fish for sea bass, bream, turbot and sole or go out to sea for gurnard and sea bass. On the inland waterways fish for black bass, carp, perch, pike, trout and salmon. The sea waters and coast directly opposite the Channel Islands are of course part of the same stretch of water so the same tidal conditions apply i.e. it moves the tide comes in very quickly, so be careful to observe that.

Sailing Most coastal resorts have Sailing Clubs and teach novices upwards how to sail.

Horse-riding A really excellent site - but you need to read French well - is http://www.equibreizh.com/ This tells you all about where you can ride and has a highly interactive map of Brittany geared up to horse riders. If you are looking for a convenient place to stay, that is horse and rider friendly, look for the sign on the right. This indicates premises regarded by Equibreizh as ideal. Their criteria is that whether this is a hotel, guesthouse or Gite it must be situation no less than 1 kilometre from a path easily accessible for horses, must be easily accessible for horses, provide frequent meals and also be prepared to serve gastronomic meals for one person, serve traditional and family food. A horse riding holiday sounds extremely pleasant and is something we will be looking into further for site visitors who are equestrian minded.
